Happy 2016! I’ve hit the ground running this year so far! I spent the weekend going through clothes, random house wares and purses to determine what to bring to Germany, what to donate and what to store. It was quite liberating! I realized that I was holding onto stuff just because we had the space.
I also went to Orangetheory, the grocery store and Bed, Bath & Beyond all before 10 AM yesterday. I bought all healthy foods, meal planned, wrote my workout schedule and food prepped.
With all this productivity, I wanted to share my goals for 2016. I don’t necessarily believe in resolutions because I think you’re more inclined to stick to a goal, rather than a resolution.
^^Note: I totally did the above on Friday and Saturday. Full disclosure, I ate peppermint bark as I browsed healthy recipes to meal plan!
*Workout 5 – 6 days per week. I’ve been doing really well with my workouts and I want to continue. Workout harder so I can be stronger!
*Eat healthier. I can always improve here. I went on a sugar, carb and alcohol binge over the holidays. I want to focus on my health so I get through my workouts…and to look the best I ever have in a bikini this summer!
*PR a half marathon. I can’t commit to a full marathon this year, but I’m starting to feel the itch to run a half marathon again. And this is the year I can PR.
*Drink more water. Like, a bunch of water.
*Spend quality time with Hubby. We’re going to have to lean on each other much more with our upcoming adventure. I want to spend quality time with him, whether it’s just snuggling on the couch, exploring new cities or sharing a great bottle of wine. This is the year of us!
*Learn German…and maybe Italian. By living in Germany, learning their language is going to be a necessity. This is something Hubby and I can learn together, too. I’d still like to learn Italian, too.
*Save $$ for our future. Does this need an explanation?
*Learn calligraphy. I don’t know why, but it sounds fun!
*Determine the next career step. I’ll be getting a new job with our move, but I’m not sure what that is yet!! I want to ensure that our move will benefit my career, too.
*Write, Write, Write. I want to keep blogging here and I want to finally start writing my book. I’ve had a book idea for years. This is the year that I finally write it!
Wow, when I write it all down, that’s a whole lotta stuff! 2016 is going to quite a transitional, yet exciting year! I can’t wait for what’s in store. As my mom always says, “The best is yet to come!”
What are your goals for 2016?
Tuesday was my half-birthday. I’m halfway to 29…and that feels…
In lieu of the craziness that is happening in America right now, I thought I…
