At Home Date Nights

Hubby and I pride ourselves on having regular date nights. We love trying new restaurants or going to concerts or just trying something new. We have a blast together!

I would say probably once a month, we have a date night. Usually that means going out to dinner and grabbing a few several cocktails. Last weekend, we had our date night at home. We were both super exhausted but still wanted to spend some quality time together.

So, on my way home from work, I picked up some steaks for us to grill and Hubby picked up a nice bottle of wine.

I made some rosemary potatoes in the oven and made some green beans in olive oil, parsley and garlic salt.

We lit candles, used some of our favorite wine glasses and turned on a movie while we ate. It was blissful.

Not every date night needs to be a $100 meal or some big extravaganza. The makings of a date night for me are spending quality time with my hubby, doing things we enjoy. And eating is one of those things.

The steaks were delicious, the wine paired incredibly well and we had a great time together. The bonus is I can wear sweatpants if I want to (or something a little more revealing) and we go straight to the couch for snuggles with Copley.

I’m looking forward to our next date night!

Do you have date nights? What’s your favorite way to spend quality time with your significant other?
