Big Game Winners

Happy Groundhog’s Day! I haven’t heard if we have more winter of if spring is on its way, but based on the fact that I stayed home for an adult snow day pretty much means there will be more winter in our future. #ugh #immoving

In college, I was an advertising major and the Super Bowl commercials are basically my Olympics! Last night was huge!!! It sucked that this lovely winter storm changed our plans, but we ended up having a great time at home watching the game, eating Ohio foods and snuggling on the couch with Copley!

I noticed some themes from yesterday: There were a lot of public service announcements. From the domestic violence phone call, the kids dying from accidents to everyone should be a great dad, these commercials definitely tugged at the heart strings and left me with a semi-heavy heart. I even cried during the puppy commercials!!

I did really like the commercials overall but I liked some more than others. Some duds, I thought were Jeep, the one with “God” getting mad that his phone wasn’t charged and toe fungus.

Here are my favorite commercials from yesterday:

Always #LikeAGirl

This commercial is great. Growing up, my parents taught me that girls could do anything boys can do…and probably better! (Hey, that’s what dads say when he has 2 daughters!) If we have daughters, I want them to see this commercial. It is everything I want for them. I want girls to have confidence in themselves and know that they can do anything they put their mind to. Sheer perfection.

Mindy Kaling and Nationwide:

Basically Mindy can do no wrong in my book. I thought this was great, light humored and not exactly what I would expect from an insurance company.

Budweiser and the puppy:

Just like everyone else, I loved this. I cried and hugged Copley for an absurd amount of time after watching this.

Avocados from Mexico

I literally laughed out loud at this one. The polar bear!! Love!

What are your favorite commercials from yesterday’s game?
