This is the last Friday in January. 2017 has been off to a slow start but pretty much after this weekend, things are definitely going to start picking up! We have lots of travel plans this year that need planning, which is so exciting. We’re also going to be spending time with friends, hanging out with Copley and maybe putting together a 2016 family yearbook. It’s going to be a great weekend!
And since today is Friday, let’s get to my Friday Favs for this week.
Great customer service experience
I have to give a huge shout out to HelloHandPressed on Easy for their incredible customer service. I ordered the above shirts in October for my best friend who is getting married and me to wear during our Friend-iversary in November. I ordered a month in advance in the hopes that they would arrive on time. Well, the shirts didn’t come before my friend got here. I emailed them through Easy and they said that international deliveries can take up to 3 months. So, I waited. And As of Monday, the three month mark, no shirts still. I replied saying I’m so sorry, but the shirts aren’t here. Is there anyway I can reorder them and ship directly to my friend in Chicago? Well, let me tell you, their response was incredible. Shannon replied and said, “Oh my gosh! I am so sorry you have been waiting this long!” She offered to produce new shirts for me and ship to my friend in Chicago FOR FREE, including shipping. She said normally they charge customers shipping but since I’ve been waiting so long, they won’t charge me. How incredibly nice is that?! Not only that, but my friend decided she wanted the black shirt more than the white shirt, so I even got to change my order for no charge.
HelloHandPressed truly impressed me. In a world where customer service is dwindling, they went above and beyond to make sure I received my order. They did not ask me write this, but I just want to pass along a great small business! They have the cutest apparel designs for moms, moms-to-be, brides, bridesmaids and babies. I will definitely order from them again!
A Giada Hit
This week, I made this Giada recipe for shrimp and herbed cream sauce. I loosely followed the recipe because I didn’t have penne and only had non-dairy cream. But, let me tell you, this was delicious! I will definitely make it again but add more veggies to the mix for more substance. I could have made a side of veggies, but didn’t have anything on hand except zucchini, that Vinn doesn’t love. It was super easy to make and makes a for a great weeknight meal.
How Pixar films are connected
The above is this generation’s version of finding all the Disney hidden mistakes, like ‘Sex’ in the clouds in The Lion King. This video shows how all the Pixar movies are connected through Easter eggs, like how Nemo makes an appearance in Monster’s Inc. I can’t believe I missed some of these. It’s definitely worth a watch!
It was a great week filled with relaxation and I really needed it. It’s probably my last relaxing week for the rest of the year!! I hope you have a great weekend.
What are you loving this Friday?
