Friday Favs {Nov. 20}

It’s Friday, ya’ll! Has this week dragged for anyone else? It was one of those weeks that I just couldn’t wait to be over!! There’s not much on the agenda for this weekend and I am so excited to finally have Hubby home, snuggle on the couch and drink wine. We are going to go to a going away party for a friend who is moving to Arizona but that’s it! I am so pumped for a relaxing weekend at home.

Not everything about this week was bad, though. Here are my Friday Favs for this week.

Heather Dubrow’s podcast

Heather Dubrow is the most recent celebrity to get a podcast. I’ve gone in and out of the podcast world, but this is one that I have officially subscribed and can’t wait to listen to each week. She’s only had a few episodes, but I am 100% enjoying it. She is a natural and I enjoy learning more about her, her beauty tips and interviews.

Her first podcast had Tamra Judge and Shannon Beador and they talked all the behind the scenes dirt about this season of #RHOC and Brooks Ayers. In another episode she interviews Terry and Paul Nassif about Botched. She is a great interviewer and the podcast is a great combination of information (Heather shares how she got into show business), celebrity interviews and #AskHeather, a segment where Heather answers listener questions read by her assistant. I love it!

You can listen to it on PodcastOne or subscribe in iTunes.

Mac Professionals

In some not so good news, my laptop went to the blue screen of death this week. I’d been getting a message for a few months that my startup disk was almost full and on Sunday night, I was moving files over to my external hard drive. Everything was moving at a snail’s pace, so I decided to restart. Well, when I did, BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH!

I called Apple Support and they couldn’t help me. So, they recommended a service provider, Mac Professionals.

I called the next day, explained my problem, and they suggested I bring in my computer. They were so helpful and were able to get my computer back up in running in less than 24 hours. Apparently, my internal hard drive was 100% full. So, the computer dudes put everything onto another external hard drive and restored everything. They even upgraded my operating system.

I had such a great experience with them and wanted to share for anyone in the Detroit area with an Apple product related issue, give Mac Professionals a call!

Pandora Holiday Music

I’ve had to do some pretty mindless tasks at work this week and the saving grace has been the Holiday Pop station on Pandora. If you have to do anything like take screen shots of the intranet, I highly suggest listening to some holiday music. It may be about 50 degrees still in Detroit, but there’s nothing like a little Drummer Boy to get you in the holiday spirit.

Disney nights

beauty-and-the-beast

When I’m in a bad mood, my favorite childhood movies always make me feel better. Wednesday was a particularly bad day so I immediately reached for my Beauty and the Beast DVD. I half-jokingly said that I wanted to watch the movie and when Hubby agreed, I jumped at the chance!

I have the entire movie memorized and something about this movie melts all my troubles away. I seriously think I was Belle about 4 times for Halloween.

We’re keeping the Disney train rolling tonight and watching Frozen! Hubby has yet to see it, which is a crime against humanity. That Olaf just makes me laugh.

Yes, we are 27 year olds who watch Disney movies during the week. If loving that is wrong, I don’t want to be right.

What are your plans this weekend? Do you still watch Disney movies? Or am I the only one?
