Friday Favs {October 7}

Happy Friday, ya’ll. I am a combination of exhausted, completely sore from my Bodypump class and so excited for our upcoming weekend. This week was so fantastic and this weekend is going to be even better! I’ll share what we did this weekend on Tuesday.

And since it’s Friday, it’s time to share my Friday Favs of the week. As always, leave me a comment for what you’re loving this week, too!

New Facebook Page

Room for Gelato has an official Facebook page now! I don’t want to be that person who constantly puts my blog updates on my personal page, so I decided to create a blog specific page. I’ll be posting when the latest blogs go live, photos and, hopefully, interacting with people and sharing insights on expat life. I’d love if you could give it a like!

Joyce Meyer’s Devotional Book

devotional book

I talked about reading this book yesterday in my day in the life post and just wanted to talk about it. Disclaimer: it does have Biblical references and is Christian. I consider myself more of a spiritual person rather than a religious person and I was searching for something that would help me clear my mind and focus on the big picture of life.

This specific book has one page per day with a small scripture passage, a more easily understood message and a devotional. I read it in the morning (most days) and it helps me feel content and that there’s bigger purpose in life than work, paying bills and having the latest and greatest iPhone.

Copley the Snuggle Bug

copley snuggle

Copley has to make her appearance at least once every post, right? Anytime I am sitting on the couch, Copley immediately sits right next to me. We must always be touching. She is so snuggly, lovable and cute. I just love this dog so darn much. It’s incredible how dogs become part of your family. I can’t imagine life without her.

New Boots

boots

I bought these boots recently from ASOS. These are Chelsea boots and they just screamed Europe to me. I justified buying them because I can wear them with leggings, skinny jeans, dresses, everything. But, unlike Monica from Friends, these boots don’t hurt and didn’t cost more than rent!  I can’t wait to wear them.

And that’s all folks.

What are your favs from this week? Any weekend plans?
