Friday Favs {Sept. 23}

Wow, this week has flown. I taught a lot of English classes, had a lot to do after work and caught up with friends. I went to another Bodypump class on Wednesday and I am still sore, but in the best way possible. And last night I had a long conversation with my mom on FaceTime and it was so rejuvenating.

I’m looking forward to this weekend, too. It’s going to be really relaxing, but also productive. We are going out to dinner with some friends on Saturday night to a sushi restaurant. I haven’t had sushi in Germany yet and I hope it doesn’t disappoint!

Now, onto my Friday Favs for this week.

Gwyenth Paltrow’s NYC Apartment

I am not a huge Goop person. I don’t love any of Gwyneth Paltrow’s movies and I don’t really like how she tries to come off as a normal, down to earth person, yet all of her recipes are complicated and you need to have expensive equipment to cook. And she uses words like “conscious uncoupling.”

BUT, her apartment tour is amazing. Just look at that kitchen. In true Goop form, though, her interior designer describes this kitchen as “sensual.” WTF. Who describes a kitchen that way? So relatable, Gwyny. Did Kelly Bensimon give you that word?

But the pictures are amazing. Only look at them, don’t read the words.

Copley loves the Packers

Vinn bought the NFL Game Day package so he can watch the Packers from our Apple TV. He even got up at 2 AM on Monday to watch the game live. He was definitely hurting the next day, but looking at Copley snuggling on the Packers blanket Vinn’s mom made made everything better. She loves it! Just look at how cute she is!! She will always be a Friday Fav.

Morning Routines

I love reading people’s morning (and evening) routines. Every day is different for me, which isn’t my favorite. The gym only opens early 3 days a week, I have classes at 8 AM on Mondays and sometimes I just can’t get up. I really want and need to have more of a morning routine. To get inspired, I went into a dark hole of reading morning routines on It’s a website dedicated to interviewing successful people about their morning routines. They talk to Ivanka Trump, Olympic runners and CEOs.

The common theme is that people wake up early, try to exercise in the morning and separate work and family, usually. The days I do exercise first thing in the morning, I definitely feel better. I just need to do it on a more consistent basis.

Forbes Million$ Podcast

I’ve shared my love of podcasts and I just found another one! This one is from Forbes and it’s all about interviewing female entrepreneurs. I found it because Emily Weiss of Into the Gloss and Glossier was interviewed.  I listened to four episodes yesterday. Each episode offers advice and the story of how women started their own businesses. It’s great for motivation and inspiration!

What’s your morning routine? What are your Friday Favs this week?
