Happy Monday! It’s a rainy day here in Germany, which makes for the perfect day to snuggle on the couch and watch Mean Girls. I don’t know why but that movie never gets old!

Anyway, I am finally getting into my exercise groove and it feels FANTASTIC! For a while, the gym I joined only opened at 9 AM because they were doing construction and couldn’t open any earlier. Now, the construction is over and they are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 6 AM.
When we lived in Michigan, I would go to the gym around 5 AM and sometimes I’d take my beloved Orangetheory classes at 5:30. I loved the feeling of accomplishment that by 7:30 AM, I had already been to the gym, showered and was on my way to work.
Working out is definitely something that I started doing to look good, but it has now become the thing I do to clear my mind, get some endorphins…well, and to still look good! I’ve been going to the gym early for the last week and it feels amazing. I didn’t really love that some days I would work out in the morning and other days I wouldn’t get there until the early afternoon. I hated getting there late in the day and then not showering until 3 or 4. It wasn’t the best.
And today, I was up and at ’em at 6 AM and at the gym at 6:15. I did 30 minutes on the elliptical and then a kettle bell work out. I came home and immediately showered and ready to start the day! It’s 10 AM and I’ve already blogged, checked my email, made breakfast, worked out and done two loads of laundry. I am must more productive if I start my day with exercise.
I already feel much better about myself simply because of working out in the morning. I even said to Vinn this morning, “I feel like an actual person.” I feel ready to tackle the day and that I have a sense of purpose!
