Music Heals

This whole week has been dreary, gray and rainy. It’s actually been kinda depressing. And sitting at my desk for hours and hours at a time doesn’t help the situation.

So yesterday at lunch, I decided to visit the mall for some retail therapy, which helped quite a bit but the “high” didn’t last very long. My latest project involves a lot of marketing research and isn’t exactly engaging or requiring a lot of my brain, so I tend to get bored pretty easily.

To help keep my focus, I turned to an old friend, Pandora! I haven’t listened to music at work for a long time. I’m not sure, but it might have something to do with getting caught once singing some Pitch Perfect at my last job. Oopsie!!

I usually listen to Wicked or Disney or 90s pop. I know, super classy! But the instant I heard some of my old favs, my mood instantly improved. These songs are oldies but goodies and the clock flew by afterwards!!
