Random Thoughts Wednesday

Do you ever have those days where you do a lot of things but none of them feel productive? Today has sorta been that day. Even though I’ve already been to the gym, had my German lesson and vacuumed, I still feel like I haven’t done that much today. Such a strange thing. Perhaps I need to re-read my post from yesterday about finding motivation so I can be more productive for the rest of the day.

In the spirit of this randomness, I thought I’d share some other random thoughts I’ve had lately.

hate waiting for packages to arrive.

I recently bought some shoes from ASOS and they were supposed to arrive yesterday, but instead of leaving the package at our door, the carrier sent me an email to say they will try again today. No timeline, no option to select a different day/time, nothing. So now I just have to sit here for the majority of the day and hope it comes! I think yesterday they tried to deliver it around 4 PM, so hopefully they will come around then.

Copley is the best laundry helper.

Just look at that face. Laundry is probably my least favorite household chore. I don’t mind putting clothes in the washer/dryer, it’s the putting it away that sucks. But putting this cute little girl in the basket and walking around for a little bit helps tremendously. It’s the little things in life, right? She’s so silly.

Finding Framebridge

I’ve seen this company featured on some other blogs and I never really gave it much thought. And then yesterday I thought I’d look them up. Frame bridge does online custom photo framing without the real custom frame price. Their most expensive frame is $159. I’ve definitely spent more than that on a custom frame, even after the huge Hobby Lobby sales/coupons.

You can send them anything and they will frame it for you. Their designers can even put together a few different designs for you and then you can pick your favorite. And for $99, you can have someone put together a gallery wall for you with exact instructions on how to hang everything. (This is in no way sponsored or anything, fyi). I wish I had known about them when I framed the notes Vinn and I wrote to each other on our wedding day. Vinn wrote his on lined paper (?) and now you can see the tape marks….oh well. I do love seeing those words we wrote each other every day. Maybe I’ll get them reframed someday.

I have some other things in storage in the States that I will definitely be sending to them once we get back to America.

I’m really looking forward to fall.

fall

Fall is my favorite season, just like every other sorority girl in the entire world. I just love the crispness, the scarves, the caramel apples, the fact that wine is in its peak, all of it. The leaves are starting to change around here (this picture is from a walk recently), but the temperatures are still in the low 70’s. It’s basically my ideal weather. I find myself walking everywhere and finding an excuse to take Copley out more than two or three times a day.

I am really looking forward to seeing what Germany has to offer in the fall and especially looking forward to kicking off fall with our upcoming trips to Venice & London!!

What is your favorite season? What are you looking forward to for the rest of the year? Do you have any random thoughts to share?
