#RHOC and Staying in Touch with your BFF

Hi ya’ll. Sorry, I’m a little late posting today, but it’s been a whirlwind of a weekend/Monday.

Let’s start with today and then I’ll jump into my celebration of #NationalBFFDay!

Tonight is the premier of Real Housewives of Orange County. I think this season is going to be my favorite!!

I CAN NOT WAIT!

I loved last season, except for the Shannon v. Heather, but I’m pretty glad Shannon is back. She’s wacky but great. Since we don’t have cable, I have to purchase the season pass on iTunes. Well, I don’t have to, but I really like the episodes are on my Apple TV and my iPhone the next day. And without commercials!! It’s amazing. And then, I can watch any episode any time I want.

This premier makes Monday great, but it’s hard to beat my weekend. I spent the weekend in Chicago with my BFF. It was great to see her and spend some quality time chatting, drinking, eating and dancing just like old times.

I hate that we live so far apart and that we only get to see each other every few months. What I love, though, is that we stay in touch constantly. We talk on GChat during the day, unless we have a million and one meetings that seems to have picked up recently since we’re both moving forward in our careers. We send picture texts with funny quotes that only we would understand.

There are moments in life when I make a reference that no one gets but Megan will, I call her, explain the situation and my heart fills with joy when she laughs! I love that when we do get together, we pick up right where we left off. I love that distance is the only thing that separates us. I love that she is my soul mate (see previous reference above, thanks Charlotte York). I love that she just gets me. Staying in touch is hard, but the great things in life are worth any effort!

Happy National BFF Day, Megs! I love you to the moon and back!
