Weekend Wrap-Up {March 2}

MARCH! HELLO, OLD FRIEND!

I love March. I love it because March brings more sunlight, my mom’s birthday and one step closer to summer. The first day of March was a spectacular day spent lounging on the couch. Here are some other highlights from the weekend.

Friday

Hubby and I watched House of Cards for the majority of the night. We both had really hard days at the office and sitting on the couch was just what the doctor ordered. We only got through 2 episodes and then passed out. It was glorious.

Saturday

A lazy beginning to the day. We watched a few more episodes of House of Cards and then I went on a 14 mile run.

The best part of the day was date night with Hubby. We went to one of our favorite restaurants, Cellar 849. It’s a small restaurant specializing in Neopolitan pizza. It is so delicious!

There was a long wait, so we had a glass of wine downstairs until we finally got a table at the bar.

We ordered spiedini, which is baked proscuitto and mozzarella cheese.

I also ordered a salad for a little veggies. More proscuitto.

We devoured the margherita pizza…you guessed it…with proscuitto. Here we are, my handsome Hubby and me.

We had a blast out to dinner. We talked about our future, future vacations and eavesdropping on the couple next to us. Okay, that last one was just me. But, seriously, this girl said, “For my entree, I’ll have the brussel sprouts!” Hello, we’re at a great pizza place. Have a piece of pizza for goodness sake!

For dessert, we ordered a tiramisu and a cannoli.

Both were amazing and we had enough left to take home with us.

It was a great date night.

Sunday

Ahh, the day of rest. A true day of rest. I iced my knees and spent the majority of the day on the couch finishing House of Cards. We finished Season 3! This season didn’t disappoint, but it definitely wasn’t as good as Season 2. It’s kinda sad that in 2.5 days we watched 13, 1-hour episodes. But, it was well worth it.

I ran to Target, which was my only accomplishment of the day.

This weekend was just what the doctor ordered. It was relaxing, entertaining and accomplishing goals.

What did you do this weekend?
