Happy, happy Monday, everyone! How was your weekend? I hope the weather didn’t keep you inside too much, like I’ve been hearing it has for lots of people in the States. What’s up with all the snow?
Our weekend was absolutely amazing. We had a date night, had a day date exploring Stuttgart, hung out with some friends and explored a local park. The weather was gorgeous and really felt like spring is coming. I haven’t done a Weekend Wrap-Up since May (?!) so I thought I’d bring them back and share some of the amazing pictures from the past few days.
Copley visited the groomer on Saturday morning, so we took the opportunity to explore some places in Stuttgart we have yet to visit. We had heard that the main Stuttgart library is incredible, so we decided to give it a visit. And, wow, just wow!
It is pretty new and was just built in 2011. There are 8 floors with the stairs in the middle with all the winds going out. It is truly gorgeous. The library actually won best library in Germany in 2013!
Doesn’t this picture look like a rendering? Nope, taken with my iPhone! I wish I could have spent all day there, sitting and reading. There’s a whole section of English books, too, and German versions of American classics.
The Devil Wears Prada! Doesn’t it seem extra mean in German? I don’t know.
The main square of downtown Stuttgart is Schlossplatz and it was jam-packed with people on Saturday afternoon. We decided to grab a drink overlooking the square and the palace before we had to pick up the puppets. I really can’t wait for summer!
A new park
Sunday was absolutely gorgeous so we decided to visit a park that has a ton of little bodies of water and nice trails. And we were not the only ones!
We walked around for about 45 minutes, ate some snacks and tried to make sure Copley didn’t bark too loudly at the running children! Rotwildpark is HUGE and we will definitely be making a trip back in the future.
Standard pretty puppy picture!
I’m feeling ready for this week to conquer even more!
What did you do this weekend? What do you want to accomplish this week?
I have certainly touched on some of the cultural differences between life in Germany…
You would think getting mail would be the same everywhere, wouldn’t you…
