Happy Sunday! I should say, “My condolences to Green Bay Packers fans, Hubby included.”
I wanted to check in and start a new feature…well, technically, the only feature so far, Weekend Wrap-Up. I’ll share what I did this weekend. Be sure to leave comments about what you did this weekend. I’d love to know!
Another day, another dollar. I worked on Friday, obvi, and couldn’t wait to get the weekend started.
Hubby’s BFF came into town because Monday is Hubby’s birthday. We hung out at home drinking for a while and then drove to Downtown Northville to have dinner at Garage.
I love this restaurant and it’s vibe. I was too busy/had too many glasses of wine and prosecco to remember to take pictures. But, we frequent this establishment, so I’ll be sure to take pictures next time. The decor is of an old car mechanic garage and the food has a great upscale bar food take to it. I ate a salad and seafood chowder. I order the chowder every single time, it is so good!
The first day of the weekend started with a marathon training run. Hubby and I ran 10 miles in the cold and wind – it was wonderful! Insert sarcasm. I will note that I am not a fast runner, but, hey, I ran 10 miles at 10 AM on Saturday and that’s more than most can say, right?
I then took my car to get an oil change, and basically hung out on the couch all day with Copley bean watching Real Housewives of New York City. Hubby and his friend went to the Auto Show and to the Red Wings game. It was nice to snuggle on the couch and drink more prosecco.
A pleasant morning without an alarm clock, grocery shopping and watching the Packers game.
Clearly, Hubby and Copley were pumped for the game!
I made queso dip, a cheese plate with proscuitto and drank a mimosa. It definitely made the end of the game a little more tolerable.
And now I’m enjoying my final glass of prosecco – and only because the bottle is now empty – while watching Friends on Netflix.
I’m looking forward to tomorrow because 1. It’s Hubby’s birthday and 2. We both have the day off. Here’s to sleeping in, an afternoon movie date and day drinking!
How was your weekend? Are you looking forward to the week?
Yesterday I shared my favorite memories from the past three years of marriage. And one…
Whoa, what a productive weekend! Everything on the to-do list was checked and it…
