Where Have I Been?

Oh, hi there. I can’t believe it’s been 4 months since my last post. #loser

There are no excuses other than I haven’t made the effort to write. I really want to write, but at the end of the day, I just wanted to sleep. And with the holidays, friend’s weddings, our 1-year anniversary trip, writing took a back burner.

Well, 2015 is going to be the year of doing things I’ve always wanted. I don’t want to call these resolutions because I feel like those never stick. I want this year to finally do thins I’ve wanted to do forever.

Here are the dreams I want reach in 2015:

1. Writing

Just like Carrie Bradshaw, I want to spend time writing – this blog and a book. I know I’ve slacked on writing this blog  but I’ve turned the page (haha, no pun intended) and I’m committed to writing this. It’s been a dream of mine to write a book about my Italian family and I’ve finally started to put my ideas to paper. I hope you’ll enjoy the ride with me!

2. Run a Marathon

Growing up I was never a runner. I played softball and volleyball because those sports didn’t involve running at all. In college, I started running so I wouldn’t gain the freshman 15. I didn’t gain the freshman 15, but I did gain a love for running. I’ve run 4 half marathons and have wanted to run a marathon for years. THIS IS THE YEAR! Hubby and I are running the Nashville Rock ‘n Roll Marathon in April. Training with him has been fun so far. And I’ll definitely be sharing our experiences.

3. Learn Italian

Hubby and family members gave me a 3-year online subscription to Rosetta Stone. I have taken a few courses and I love it! I’m so excited to learn my family’s language and then to travel to Italy and use what I’ve learned!!

That’s all, folks.

What are your dreams for 2015?

  1. Marathon Training and Weight Loss | Room for Gelato | 21st Jan 15

[…] This got me thinking. I’ve been trying (well, that’s a stretch, more like I’ve been complaining and not really doing anything) to lose 10 pounds for a while. I lost about 6 pounds right before our wedding, but I gained them all back and I want 2015 to be the year of dreams coming true! […]
