Whirlwind Weekend

Happy Monday, everyone! I hope you had a fantastic weekend and start to the work week.

My weekend was absolutely wonderful. It was full of family, fun, drinks, yummy food, a precious puppy and an all-around great time. Hubby and I traveled to Cincinnati Friday after work for a weekend full of events with my parents and family.

Saturday morning, we ran 4 miles AT A 10:30 PACE! You guys, can I just tell you how happy this makes me! I haven’t run this fast in a loooong time. It was a little tough, but it wasn’t totally out of my comfort zone. I definitely think Orange theory is helping increase my stamina and metabolism. It pushes me to my limits and I love it!!

Then, we ventured out to the ATP Tennis tournament. It was so much fun! It was brutally hot but we had a great time. We drank beer, watched 2 tennis matches and inhaled some ice cream. We watched the men’s semi-finals and watched a pretty epic Roger Federer v. Andy Murray and I think it was one of the highlights of Hubby’s life. I can honestly say that it ranks up with our wedding for him 🙂

No, we did not plan on matching each other, let alone the courts. P.S. my dress is from White House Black Market circa summer 2014. It is so comfortable!

Hubby’s idol, Roger Federer.

Of course, we had to get some ice cream. It should be documented that Hubby spilled his ice cream all over his white shirt like a 4 year old….

After the tennis, we went to my aunt’s house for dinner to celebrate my Mima’s 80+ birthday. She hates to say her age!! But she looks really great for her chronological age and I just love her to the moon and back. She is so spunky, so snarky, so kind. She is seriously one of my favorite people on the planet!

Sunday was also a crazy, busy day! It started with the most delicious breakfast of dippy eggs (over easy), bacon and fruit.

And a cute puppy moment.

I mean, how cute is she?!

We went to the Cincinnati Reds game with my parents. They got tickets from a friend and these tickets were awesome. They were in a box that included free food and covered seating. It’s the only one I want to go to a baseball game in the hot summer heat.

It was a truly fantastic weekend. The only thing missing was my sister, but I’m pumped to see her over Labor Day!!

How was your weekend? Do you have a family member that means the world to you?
